Oxfam Ireland TRAILTREKKER
Date and time:
04 September 2010 @ 00:00 to 05 September 2010 @ 00:00

Four people. One goal: 100km in 36 hours.
Be part of something amazing this September 4-5! TRAILTREKKER challenges your team of four to walk 100km through beautiful Irish terrain in 36 hours.
You will start the route together, walk through each checkpoint together and finish together, trekking by day and through the night. The Irish event is one of 14 Oxfam challenges worldwide. Every year thousands of participants take part in these events, succeed in finishing and raising funds for Oxfam.
The route will begin in the stunning Donard Park, Newcastle, Co Down. The signed trail consists of ten sections, each approximately 10km apart. After each section, your team will check-in and stop for refreshments before heading onto the next section.
The route includes sections of the Mourne Way, the Ring of Gullion, Co. Armagh and the hills of the Cooley Peninsula, Co. Louth. Your team will also be ferried across Carlingford Lough in a small boat! The welcoming finish line is located in the picturesque village of Carlingford, Co Louth. Be prepared for undulating, rugged forest trails, picturesque country roads, short sections of challenging mountain terrain and many superb views along the way!
Each TRAILTREKKER team is asked to raise a minimum of €2,000 or £2,000 in sponsorship. The funds raised by teams will help change the lives of many poor families and communities for the better.

Dear Fellow Judo Enthusiasts and all interested parties
Black Eagle Judo is in the process of setting up a Special Needs Judo Program here in Tipperary with the view to rolling it out nationwide. Special Needs Judo is now huge in Europe with thanks to the forward thinking Associations/Federations who embrace the JUDO/SPORT FOR ALL concept.
We have enlisted the help of Mr Roy Court, the Welsh National SN Judo coach with over 30 years experience in SN Judo, who will help us with the practical aspects of coaching SN Judo.
In addition we are receiving help and advice from Ben van der Eng who is the European Judo Unions co-ordinator for special needs judo, based in The Netherlands.
We are also receiving a lot of help and support from the North and South Tipperary Sports Partnerships Sports Inclusion Disability Officer, Kathleen Finn.
It gives us great pleasure to invite members of your clubs, organisations and any interested
parties, to our Disability Awareness & Special Needs Judo Seminar in September 2010.
The seminar is open to all interested parties including all judo players, coaches, referees,
