It is with regret we must announce that Cavan Walking Festival will not now go ahead in May, given the current COVID-19 crisis and associated measures including a restriction on outdoor gatherings.
Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle has always been a core element of our festival and, as such, we believe it is important to postpone all organised walks in the county until we as a nation have overcome this unprecedented challenge.
We appreciate the great effort all of you are making to stay at home in order to stop the spread of this virus and we promise that, as soon as it is safe to do so, we will be "back on track", walking together side by side with a renewed appreciation of our county, of walking , and of each other.
