Community Sports Coach Training

Community Sports Coach Training Programme

Through the Dormant accounts fund County Cavan has received funding for a community sports coach training programme.

The programme targets individuals who are currently unemployed and have an interest in pursuing a career in the sports sector.

Participants of the programme received coaching qualifications from sporting bodies. Participants also received qualifications in sports first aid and child protection training along with career guidance and the opportunity to put their learning into practice with a coach shadowing programme with the individual sports.

Places are limited to 16 participants and an interview process will apply.
