Club Support

Within Cavan there are a large number of clubs covering a variety of sports. The clubs vary in size and structure and provide many opportunities to the people of Cavan.

Although it is understood that not all clubs wish to develop to the highest performance or elite level, all successful clubs need to be well organised and provide their members with quality opportunities.

We aim to:

• Work with National Governing Bodies to support sports development in Cavan.
• Provide training for clubs suitable to expressed needs.
• Assist clubs to develop quality, progressive and sustainable sporting opportunities.
• Provide information to clubs on developing their management and administrative systems.
• Support recognition of volunteers in sport.
• Keep up to date with latest national and local initiatives.
• Keep clubs up to date with funding opportunities.

Our actions are to:

• Provide access to a club development manual.
• Provide links to funding opportunities and communicate to clubs.
• Provide relevant documents and publications for clubs.
• Host a Cavan Club’s Database
• Host a Cavan Sports Facilities Database
